New In Archive! ft. Annoying Computer

So, let's start out by saying my computer SUCKS. It is never connecting to the internet, and I have one little time frame to try and click a link, for example, logging into Stardoll. If I don't click it in this exact time, I have to log in again and receive the lovely "unable to connect" page and hit the refresh button at least 15 times for it to go away.

Now onto the post.

Stardoll has released yet another Archive collection! No pictures, read the first paragraph. To me, none of it is my style. But when I looked twice at the bottom rack, I saw the Strawberry Halter Romper! I have had this before, then sold it, but I might buy it again! Also, it is from Fudge, which is a discontinued store.

Now I am going to spend the rest of my day on Pinterest. Byeeee!

Chanel & Giambattista Valli Couture Tributes!

Wow, I haven't posted in a week! There are two new tributes in Starplaza:

CHANEL TRIBUTE

I love almost all of the dresses! They are so pretty! The collection is actually pretty expensive, though. The dresses are all around 40 stardollars, which is pretty expensive for in-store purchases.

GIAMBATTISTA VALLI COUTURE

Again, I love all of the dresses! I only wish that they were different colors. In my opinion, most of the colors don't go well together. The dresses are gorgeous, however.

I'm really tired so I'm not really explaining things too well right now.....blah.

I give these collections 4 out of 5 hearts! Everything is gorgeous, but a tad pricey.

New Archive, Fever Store, & Messaging Problems?

So many updates!

MESSAGING PROBLEMS
Is it just me, or do you think Stardoll is having problems with their message center? They haven't been sending out any messages for new collections or stores, which really bothers me. I love getting updated and now I won't know about a new store unless I feel like shopping that day! A week or so ago I got about 5 messages in one day from Stardoll about new collections that were now old. I really hope they get this fixed. So, the following things I am going to talk about might be new, or they might have been out for a while but I missed them then.


NEW IN ARCHIVE!
Archive has released a "new" collection! I don't think anything can top the last one, though! The collection is very "blah" this time around, and surprisingly I already have 3 of the items because I bought them previously!
Hypercam isn't working for me today, but I'll have pictures soon!


NEW FEVER STORE
So, there's this new store called Fever in Starplaza. I would say it has a Trendy/Edgy style to it, which is not mine at all. I really don't like the store, and I'm not sure why they added it. I don't like how they're taking away good stores and adding in bad ones!

Tress Up Summer Review! (EXTREMELY LATE)

I know I am so late on getting this post up. I had things going on every day this week, and I'm about to head over to a party right now. Nevertheless, let's get into the post:

Tress Up Summer was released in Starplaza!

Usually, with the Tress Up collections, I end up liking two or three hairstyles out of the collection. But in this summer collection, I like all but one!!....On the mannequins.
The are all pretty on the mannequins, but somehow, when you put them on your doll, they aren't fit right for the face. This is with most Tress Up collections, even this one.
The hair that I am in love with is the third one from the right because it's OMBRE! I love ombre hair! This is the only hair (for me) that actually fits right on my doll's face. I would actually consider buying it, but I love my stardesign hair, so I'll stick with that for now. (:

Overall, I give this collection 3 out of 5 hearts because the hairstyles were all pretty, but the fact that the majority of the wigs don't fit right on my doll's face makes me like the collection less.

Stardoll History ♥The Changes♥

Stardoll was not always the huge fashion community that it is today. Actually, it wasn't always Stardoll. I always visited the site in 2006 to dress up dolls, I joined in late 2006 as a user that I don't remember, then I joined again in 2010 as Covergirl223. Here are some of the differences between the old and new Stardoll.

♥Name, History, and Layout♥

Stardoll started out as Paperdoll Heaven in 2004. In 2004-2006 dress-up doll sites were EXTREMELY popular. Ads were everywhere for paperdoll dress-up sites, competing for the most popularity. There were no "members" on Paperdoll Heaven until 2006. Still, it was a small site where you could dress up and save dolls. Not your own, just celebrities. No superstar memberships, no currency. Yet. I was on Paperdoll Heaven frequently, dressing up my favorite dolls.

In March 2006, the name was changed from Paperdoll Heaven to Stardoll! I didn't become a member just yet, but I was still visiting the site.

Now for when I first joined in July 2006. Stardoll created it's famous logo and started the community. Like I said, I don't remember the username, but I played with that user up until 2009!

Instead of your user information at the top, it was on the left side of the screen. Just signed in users were on the right side of the screen. You could create your own medoll, but the website was still centered around dressing up celebrities.

The layout had minor changes throughout the years, but the user info was still on the left and tabs still on the top. Then came this layout, which is VERY similar to the one we have now. You could now pick a starter doll.

Here's the current layout. Similar to the last one, but more purple and it has rounded edges instead of sharp square edges.

♥ Beauty Parlor ♥

The old beauty parlor looked like this:

This was probably not the first beauty parlor, but this is the one I remember.

♥ Superstars & Currency ♥

If you were a superstar, your profile would look like this.

As you can see, it says "style medoll". That is like the beauty parlor to us.

It also only has stardollars. There were only stardollars on Stardoll until..wow..late 2010 or early 2011. When I joined as Covergirl223, there were only stardollars.

Since there were only stardollars, the way to tell if the item was for superstars or not, there was a star next to the price tag. Sadly, most items were for superstars. There was no way for regular members to buy items with a star on it. Except for one day.

A few days into your membership in 2010, there was this day called your "superstar day". You would become a superstar for one day. You recieved I think 20 stardollars to buy whatever you want. It doesn't seem like a lot, but items in starplaza were not very expensive, so 20 was a decent amount.

♥ Other Changes from 2010 ♥

There was only Stardesign Fashion in 2010.

Decorating and designing your album was SUPER popular.

There were no Royalty members until early 2012 I think.

No luxury suites such as Alpine Chalet and Beach Villa

I don't remember if starbazaar was there in 2010, but if it was I never used it haha (:

New LE released! ♥Review♥

The new LE for summer 2013 released yesterday! Like I said in previous posts, I am not a superstar, so I can't buy LE or Antidote straight from the store, but I like to scope out the collection to see what I will look for in the starbazaar once the next collection releases.
I'm not very impressed with this collection, but here it is anyways:

♥FIRST FLOOR♥

This is my favorite floor, even though I only like three items. I LOVE the dress on the far left, and I like the two blue items on hangers in the middle. The rest is okay, but not really my style.

♥SECOND FLOOR♥

This is my second-favorite floor. I like two pieces, which are the orange items on hangers. Again, the rest is not my style.

♥THIRD FLOOR♥

My least favorite floor because I don't like anything. 

Sorry Stardoll, but you really need to step up your game on these collections. Unlike the newest Antidote collection, it does have somewhat of a theme, which is nice. I'm hoping the next collection will have prettier items and a variety of clothing that will fit everyone's style. I know it's LE, so some items can be weird, but they could at least be cuter!

I give this collection 3 out of 5 hearts because it has a theme, I like a few items, and the interiors are nice, but most of the clothes are not cute and are not my style.

New in Museum Mile!

I'm a little late getting this post up, but I wanted to share with you my feelings toward the new Museum Mile collection!
Now, I have mixed feelings about Museum Mile, basically because the items there aren't my style. Museum Mile really isn't centered around clothes, it's more of a "costumes" or "cosplay" theme for the clothes at least. It's centered on decor, which is why you can find it under the decor tab in Starplaza. Here are the new items:

The new items are very floral and patterned. I'll do a brief overview of each floor.
♥ The first floor are just some Museum Mile accessories, mostly in starcoins. These are items that you would find in a "gift shop" or "souvenir shop" at actual museums, which I thought was kind of cool.
♥ The second floor is the first floor of clothes, which are okay, but they really don't look good on my doll.
♥ The third floor is kind of weird. Just like Antidote and LE, the paintings sell out and cannot be purchased after that. It's kind of weird because all of the rest of the items on that floor and in this collection don't sell out.
♥ The last floor has some kind of cute outfits, two of which were the "pick of the day" a few days ago.

Still, I'm not very impressed by Museum Mile, and I'm not sure what they could do different to impress me.

Stardoll Archive: June 2013

A new archive was released in the Stardoll store!!

Items Mentioned: Striped Masquerade Gown is the red dress on the second mannequin, Ribbon Shrunken Blazer is the  5th item on the bottom row, Taylor Dress is the second to last dress on top row

I am very, very impressed. I am so surprised that they put the Striped Masquerade Gown in archive because people are buying it from bazaars for hundreds of stardollars!
I usually refrain from buying clothing full priced in starplaza. I will buy accessories, but unless something is very cheap, I won't buy clothes. I like to wait until sales come around.
But archive is basically your last chance to get items before they're selling for hundreds of dollars in the bazaar. When it's archive, I go for it.

I did buy two pieces from this "new" collection, which I am so in love with! I purchased the Ribbon Shrunken Blazer and the Taylor Dress. The blazer I absolutely ADORE! It is gorgeous and very unique! The Taylor Dress I have been eyeing for a while now, but never grabbed it. But now it was "last-chance", so I had to go for it.

Leo - Team Anne

My task was to create a scenery based on the "Leo" astrological sign. Here is what I came up with:

I know those are tigers, and Leo is lion, but the reason I made my scenery like this is because of this description:

"People are attracted to Leo's zest for life. They have the ability to lift up one's spirits and provide encouragement when times are rough. Their enthusiasm attracts people, Leos are social butterflies. Some Leos might be too caught up in themselves and be very self-centered but they are never too self-absorbed to help anyone who needs it...Leos are confident, ambitious, and loyal."

This scenery is supposed to represent how much confidence Leos have. I also took from they will "lift up one's spirits" and made it literally....lifted up. I made the scenery and this paragraph connect.

New in Antidote! Yay or Nay? + Future Blog Posts Sneak-Peek!

I'm always excited for Antidote! Although I can't buy it because I'm not a superstar, I love to search for the items I will want to find in the starbazaar once the NEXT Antidote releases. I know. Confusing.

I was happy for this new collection because I've been waiting for a few items from the last collection to show up in the starbazaar.

I was not impressed.

I usually LOVE Antidote, and I have since I first started Stardoll, back in 2010!

But this collection was not very.....fashion forward. It's a very weird collection. The first two levels are very electric-looking and include neon colors, but the shapes of the clothing are not flattering, and just.....weird. Some of them even look like there's plastic on the items. The third level is kind of an oddball. It includes the plastic-y look from the first two levels, but two of the ensembles look VERY out of place. The fourth and final level does not match the rest of the collection AT ALL. I guess it's supposed to have like a blacklight glowy theme because the furniture is "glow in the dark" and the pieces all have the word "glowing" in the name. The outfits are all black with flouresent green dots and designs. Some people may like them, but it is not my style at all.

PLEASE NOTE....My computer is running REALLY slow today, so taking screenshots of the collection would be very mean to my loud humming desktop.

It is a very INTERESTING collection to say the least.

MC Task 2 - Hands on Hips!

Ealain, I hope you like this! She is a witch, if you can't tell. I love making themes for my sceneries, it just makes the task a whole lot easier to complete.

READERS...MY TIP FOR YOU: Since this is a "Hands on Hips" pose, I might create a tutorial on how to complete this look. Comment below if you want that! But in the meantime, a great tip for hands on hips posing is to use gloves. If you're not a pro in posing like me, gloves are an easy way to copy the looks of great Stardoll models! What you have to keep in mind, though, is to always match the gloves to your outfit. If your whole outfit is pastel colored, using black gloves would just look out of place. 

I decided I am going to give you a tip every time I complete a task for a club in my blog, so I don't bore you (:

Model-Critique Cycle 3 Task 1!

This is my outfit and makeup for the "Lightning Dancer" pony! I put my doll in a short black skirt and a bright yellow top (actually a dress!) and some yellow strappy shoes! I added a fierce gold necklace to spice up the outfit. I would have used the shorter hairstyle from Tress-Up, but usually ponies and pony toys have very long hair, so I decided on this one. I used a yellow lipstick and a gold eyeliner for the lower lashline. I finished it off with simple stud earrings!

New in Original Future!

A new collection came out in Original Future!!
Original Future is one of my favorites in Starplaza because it's so bright, fun, and neon!

But I don't really like this new collection....

The colors are very bright, which i like, but I really don't like the designs and they are not flattering on.
There is only one item that I like, and it is the Splatter Off Shoulder Top. I added a purple arrow to the screenshot so you can see which item I'm talking about.

It's really cute and I'm probably going to buy it!

I found her blog when I was searching the internet for a complex leg pose tutorial for sceneries. She has AMAZING scenery tutorials!! She also does posts on fashion and stars. Go check out her blog!

♥ The next blog is like holy to me. One day I was looking for the hidden UGG store in Starplaza. I really wanted the link! The link I clicked on was to StardollBlathering. It sent me right to the UGG store! Thank you so much SarahPeach, for having that link avaliable!

♥ The last blog was just created. Literally, she made it today. This is FashionForYourSd run by CoutureTennis. I am friends with her on Stardoll, and after she told me she had started a blog, I rushed out to go follow it! Even though she just started, the posts she has done are very unique and creative!

Kate Upton Scenery and Inspiration Photo!!

It's not exactly the same, but I wasn't trying to make it like that. I took this picture and made it my own in a scenery.

Scenery description: This scenery is showing Kate Upton. She is dressed in a leopard print dress and holding a tiger. She is wearing glasses, a smokey eye, and red lipstick.

Show me a picture and I might just use it as my next inspiration pic and turn it into a scenery!

Theme Black Level 3

I know I haven't posted in a few weeks, and the reason is that nothing very exciting has been happening on Stardoll lately. When something very cool, fun, or amazing happens, I'll definitely make a post!

Stardoll Platforms = Jeffrey Campbell Litas?

As I was wandering around stardoll suites, I came across these shoes: the Pretty n Love Space Jam Platforms. I fell in love with them! But I felt like I've seen them before. I then realized that the Space Jam platforms are based on the Jeffrey Campbell Cosmic Litas which are very popular on Youtube! Knowing this, I Googled some pictures to show how similar they are.
But I also realized that the Archive Black Pleather Platforms (which are, as you know, extremely rare) are the knock-offs of the Jeffrey Campbell Black Litas, and that the Pretty n Love Tan Pleather Platforms are the knock-offs of the Jeffrey Campbell Tan Litas!

New LE + Updates

Wow!! I haven't posted in so long!! March was a very busy month, and I'm not even sure why. I was focused on other things and didn't really think about my blog. But when I checked it today, I saw that MissPinkLoretta commented on one of my posts! I was so excited and I want to thank her so much! That comment just made my day (:

Anyways, I saw that the new LE came out! I love to look at it, even though I'm not a superstar. I like to see what I can buy in the starbazaar later.
When I noticed the new LE came out, nothing was sold out! I was very early to see the collection.
*I didn't take these screenshots the first time I saw the collection, that's why some items are sold out.

There are four LE floors. Most of the items have studs, spikes, or chains on them. This was definitely not my favorite LE collection, the 11th and 12th collection still have my heart. In my opinion, none of these pieces really stood out to me. They look too plain for LE! But, three of the items I'll be on the hunt for.

The three items that I'll be looking for in the bazaar:
LE Logo Tie Top (first floor, second mannequin)
LE Spike Tee (third floor, fifth mannequin)
Quilted Crop Blazer (last floor, third mannequin)

Overall, I was not very impressed with this LE collection.

I'm so happy with this wig!! I have no regrets buying this wig, and it was at a very good price considering how good it looks!!
The wig that I bought from Elif-Star-Doll2 I didn't like as much as my first or third wig, but this one is amazing!! Go check out MissPinkLoretta's designs!!

Harrods: Overpriced? + UPDATE

I just wanted to make a quick blog post about how I think Harrods is so overpriced! Compared to the other stores in Starplaza, Harrods is very, very expensive. The clothes are double the price of the clothes in stores like Pretty n Love and Evil Panda. I know PPQ and Miss Sixty are very expensive also, but Harrods has such cute clothes that fit everyone's style!! I wish they'd have some sales, because with the amount of stardollars I have now, I can only buy two or three things! But I just love the style of Harrods!!

UPDATE: Harrods had a closing out sale!! 25% off everything!! I WAS SO EXCITED!!! I basically just spent all of my money on Harrods because I was so excited! I am sad that Harrods is gone now. But I got everything I wanted!

Top Stardoll Hair Designers Reviewed!

I've been looking for a new hair design for a while now, so I decided to check out the top hair designers. Surprisingly, the doll that I bought mine from is no longer on the top designers.

Top Stardoll Hair Designers 2-23-13

I bought my wig from Elif-Star-Doll2. She makes gorgeous wigs, mostly wigs with curls, which I love! I fell in love with her voluminous curly wig with bangs. She was the top designer for a while now, but was taken over by mwaswagg. She has a nice straight brown hairstyle. Although my wig now is voluminous and curly, my first wig was not! My first wig was from a designer called Rojin34. Her wigs are awesome and she has many different designs! The one I bought was a dark brown, long, straight hairstyle with lighter tips. It was really pretty, but I just wanted a change, which is why I bought my new one.

Now onto the top designers! (Links to their page will be in the links bar above)
I'm not really a fan of FancyNANE's hairstyles, but she's been on the top designers forever!! Her hairstyles consist of mostly buns with some curls. I just don't feel like they fit the doll's face correctly.
I've seen hanoo1999's designs all around Stardoll! They are very detailed and very voluminous! I love them! The designs are priced around 60 stardollars. 
Now onto PuppySasha34. I was actually going to buy one of her designs because I love them so much! They are all so gorgeous!! Usually she designs very long and straight brunette designs with highlights.
MissHnowo2111 is a designer that I've never heard of before. She designs very poofy hairstyles, and I don't really like them that much.
sfiHoney's designs are also poofy, but a little more detailed than the ones I mentioned above.
I think that nevra77's designs are awesome because they are all very different. She has blondes, browns, and blacks. Short styles and long styles. She has a lot of variety in her designs and I like them a lot!
I'm also not a fan of babliSky's hairstyles because they all look somewhat similar and aren't very detailed. All of the hair is on only one side.
MissPinkLoretta! OMG! She sells AMAZING wigs! My next wig is definitely going to be from her! She has SO MANY designs and I rave about them all the time!! They all have very long hair and are different colors. I love them all!! I'm not real sure which one to get...
I'm pretty sure that MISSROQA1996 has only done one design and ended up selling it. She's in the top designers, but has none in her presentation and isn't selling any.
